I am a facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie.
The Work is a simple and very powerful process of transformational inquiry.
It is a way to identify, question and transform limiting beliefs you hold in the context of stressful situations, circumstances and relationships in your life. It is a way to transform stressful emotions. The Work is radical, yet gentle. It puts you in touch with what I call your heart‘s perspective, allowing you to directly experience and immerse yourself in its loving intelligence and guidance.
I have been using The Work in my own life and with clients since 2005. As it is the most effective, simple and reliable approach I have ever come across when it comes to healing relationships, The Work is my preferred and primary tool. I have experienced it working very powerfully again and again, facilitating gentle, yet life-changing shifts in myself and in clients, and having profoundly positive impact on our relationships.
Apart from its effects, I experience the practice itself as a beautiful, exciting process of discovery and transformation, a very rich and fascinating experience, and very often a lot of fun too.
What I particularly love about The Work is that you can learn how to do it without me or any other facilitator, if you wish, and use it any time you want by yourself for the rest of your life.
Anyone whose mind is open to go within and answer four simple questions, can do it.
The questions that are applied to stressful beliefs (one belief at a time) are:
1. Is it true?
2. Can you absolutely know that it's true?
3. How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
4. Who would you be without that thought?
The four questions are followed by a simple reversal technique of the original belief, called the "turnaround".
